Beading 101 is an introduction to basic beading or jewelry making. You will quickly learn it's a little more than putting beads on a string.
What Will I Make?
At our store you can make just about whatever you want, a bracelet, necklace, earrings or all of the above. Beading 101 classes are only $10.00 plus whatever materials you decide to use.
What Will I Learn?
We cover all aspects of beading, for instance you will learn the proper size, strength and type of wire or beading chain and tools to use. You will be knowledgeable of the terminology and use of all of the many components used in making jewelry. Such as crimps, crimp covers, wire guards, dangles, jump rings, lobster clasps, toggles, head pins, bails etc.
We will show you the best way to use our vast array of Swarovski crystals and all their various shapes, sizes and colors, including bi-cones, cubes, helix, paragons, donuts, colors and special coatings like aurora boralious (AB) and (2x AB). You will see how just a touch of Bali silver strategically placed here and there in your jewelry will add a lot of class to your jewelry.
You will learn design secrets and how use color. We'll teach you how style and proportion, when used together, will give your jewelry a one-of-a-kind look. I know it sounds overwhelming at first, but each person will learn at their own pace, you will quickly advance into making custom hand crafted jewelry without realizing how much you have learned because it's so much fun.
